There is a version of this I know personally. 

The pull back to the doing. The way a slow week can quietly undo confidence that took months to build. The specific discomfort of watching someone else handle something you used to handle – and doing it differently than you would have – and having to sit with that rather than step in. 

I've coached enough leaders through this transition to know it isn't rare. And I've lived enough of it myself to know that knowing it intellectually doesn't make it easier. The doer trap isn't something you think your way out of. It's something you feel your way through. And most people don't have anyone honest with them about what that actually involves. 

So let me try to be.
